What's this role all about?
We're looking for an ambitious, creative and commercially minded leader to help take Wiser's Attraction offering to the next level.
Our Attraction team helps some of the world's most exciting employers connect with the next generation of talent. From student ambassador programmes and campus activations to digital competitions and attraction strategies, we bring employer brands to life and create experiences that genuinely make an impact.
As our Head of Campus Attraction, you'll lead our UK team, oversee our growing portfolio of Academy X ambassador programmes and play a key role in developing and delivering creative attraction campaigns across the UK, US and Middle East.
You'll be responsible for building brilliant client relationships, delivering exceptional work, developing a high-performing team and identifying opportunities to grow our client base and offering.
This is a role for someone who loves the bigger picture but isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. You'll need to be equally comfortable pitching an idea to a client, leading a team through a busy delivery period and finding a creative solution when something doesn't go to plan.
With a team in London and projects across multiple markets, brilliant communication, ownership and collaboration will be essential.
What will you spend your time doing?
Leading and developing our team
Lead, support and develop our UK Attraction team, creating an environment where everyone can do their best work.
Oversee team priorities, workloads and resources, making sure we're delivering exceptional work while maintaining a happy, high-performing team.
Coach and develop the team, encouraging independence, creativity, accountability and progression.
Act as the senior point of contact for UK Attraction delivery, keeping colleagues and leadership informed, aligned and confident in our progress.
Owning and growing our Academy X programmes
Oversee our portfolio of Academy X student ambassador programmes, currently supporting five clients, with ambitions to grow this further.
Champion an exceptional ambassador experience across all our programmes, ensuring students feel engaged, valued and motivated, and that our communities deliver genuine impact for clients.
Lead programme planning, client relationships and overall performance, ensuring we're delivering meaningful results for employers and valuable experiences for ambassadors.
Guide the team across the full programme lifecycle, from recruitment, selection and onboarding through to engagement, content, referrals, reporting and renewals.
Identify opportunities to improve and expand our ambassador offering across the UK, US and Middle East.
Work closely with our Middle East team, supporting ambassador management and communications remotely.
Creating and delivering standout attraction campaigns
Lead the development, pitching and delivery of creative campus events, experiential activations and wider early talent campaigns across the UK and US.
Take ownership of campaigns from initial brief and creative concept through to budgets, production, live delivery and post-campaign evaluation.
Oversee university relationships, suppliers, logistics and delivery teams, ensuring events run smoothly and to Wiser's high standards.
Help develop and deliver innovative digital attraction campaigns, including online competitions and challenges.
Collaborate with our Key Accounts and Creative teams to bring great ideas to life.
Building brilliant client relationships and growing our business
Build strong, trusted relationships with clients, becoming someone they turn to for ideas, advice and solutions.
Confidently lead client meetings, presentations, pitches and commercial conversations.
Spot opportunities to grow existing accounts, secure renewals and win new business across our Attraction offering.
Scope projects, develop proposals and budgets, and make commercially sound decisions that balance creativity, client impact and profitability.
Use your understanding of early talent, employer branding and campus engagement to help shape our strategies and continually improve what we offer.
Improving the attraction infrastructure as we grow
Bring fresh ideas to the table and challenge how we do things, always looking for smarter, more effective ways to deliver.
Maintain clear project plans, budgets, reporting and ways of working that keep a busy international team connected.
Track campaign and programme performance, using insights to demonstrate impact and inform future recommendations.
Be proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused, keeping things moving even when priorities shift or challenges arise.
What are we looking for?
First and foremost, we're looking for someone who's passionate about early talent, genuinely enjoys working with people and gets excited about turning ambitious ideas into reality. You don't need to have done everything on this list, but you do need to be someone who takes ownership, brings people with them and is excited by a challenge.
You'll bring:
Experience in early talent, ideally 5+ years, with a strong understanding of the university landscape, student audiences and campus recruitment, whether that's within an agency, an in-house early careers team or a similar environment.
Strong client-facing experience, with a proven ability to manage relationships, lead meetings, present confidently and build trust with stakeholders.
Hands-on events experience, including organising and delivering successful events or campaigns, managing suppliers, budgets and multiple moving parts.
Experience working with campus ambassadors or student communities, with an understanding of what motivates students and how to build meaningful engagement.
People management experience, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop others while creating a positive and supportive team environment.
Strong commercial acumen, with proven experience developing proposals, pitching and winning work, managing budgets and growing client relationships.
Strong analytical skills, with experience tracking campaign performance, managing data and using insights to demonstrate results and inform recommendations.
A creative but pragmatic mindset, someone who can think big, come up with brilliant ideas and work out how to make them happen.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to keep clients, colleagues and stakeholders aligned across different projects, teams and geographic locations.
A few bonus points if you have:Experience delivering early talent campaigns across international markets, particularly the US.
Experience developing new business opportunities or growing existing client accounts.
Experience running online competitions, challenges or other digital attraction campaigns.
An understanding of attraction strategy, audience insights and measuring campaign effectiveness.
